The Collective works to build an infrastructure for and raise awareness of the New Orleans indie rock scene through:
- bi-annual free sampler
- bi-annual music festival
- comprehensive website
- sponsored monthly shows
- providing fans with information
- helping indie rock bands help themselves
What don't you do?
The Collective does not make a profit off of the New Orleans indie rock scene.
We are not a:
- record label
- booking agent
- management firm
- publicist
How do I become a member of the Collective?
We consider anyone who supports the New Orleans indie rock scene to be a part of the Collective. A goal of the Collective is that bands, fans, and industry professionals work together as a collective should.
What are you working on now?
The Collective is working on:
- Fall '09 sampler
- Fall ’09 festival
- Summer b-sides digital sampler
- Expanded website with networking tools and more
- Presenting monthly shows
- Presence at SXSW, Voodoo Fest, and Bonnaroo
